The present invention prevents the short circuit between the contact of an exhaust duct to the terminal of the end cell (3) composing an assembled battery and the terminal. The end cell comprises: a gas discharging valve (3f) which opens a valve when the inner pressure exceeds a threshold to discharge gas. A gas discharging valve (3f) and terminals (3d, 3e) are installed at a cover body (3b). A discharging duct (13) to discharge the gas discharged from the gas discharging valve is arranged along the cover body of the end cell. A duct cover (16) comprises a main part (16a) interposed between the discharging duct and the cover body of the end cell and the upper and lower assisting parts (16c, 16d) extended along the direction of the terminals (3d, 3e) protruding from the main part.
