The present invention relates to a preparation method of 3-methyl-3-butene-1-ol which includes a step of making iso-butylene react with para-formaldehyde in a solid phase at a temperature of 100-400°C under the presence of propanol. According to the preparation method, a user can provide the 3-methyl-3-butene-1-ol in high yield and process efficiency with a single process without additional processes including a moisture removal process.
