Supplying adhesive (30) to the vehicle (24), applying adhesive (30) along the bond line by causing the vehicle (24) to travel along the vehicle travel path (54), and varying the speed of the vehicle (24) along the vehicle travel path (54) so as to control the quantity of adhesive (30) applied at successive positions along the bond line (52).
