<p>Provided is a system, a method, and a program for predicting the color value of an ink halftone, wherein a printed object for which the halftone area ratio is varied in advance is produced for individual spot color inks, and the halftone can be easily confirmed without creating a conversion formula by which the spectral reflection density measured from the printed object is converted to a chromaticity. This color-value prediction system predicts the color value of a halftone of a spot color ink, the system having: a density calculation unit for calculating a first spectral reflection density of a desired halftone dot area ratio using a formula for calculating the spectral reflection density of the halftone of a spot color ink on the basis of the solid density of the spot color ink and the halftone dot area ratio; a density ratio calculation unit for calculating the density ratio of the first spectral reflection density and a second spectral reflection density of the solid density; a density adjustment unit for multiplying the density ratio by the second spectral reflection density and calculating a third spectral reflection density of a desired halftone dot area ratio; a reflectivity calculation unit for finding the spectral reflectivity on the basis of the third spectral reflection density; and a color-value calculation unit for calculating the color value of a halftone on the basis of the spectral reflectivity.</p> |
