PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operability or a serviceability of attachment and detachment of an attaching and detaching type cutting tool in which a cutting head can be detachably attached to a shank and the cutting head can be strongly fastened with high reliability by a structure which does not require a high working accuracy. SOLUTION: The cutting head 1 having a tapered shaft part 4, a torsion groove 5 and a flat shoulder surface 6 is fastened to the shank 2 having a front end surface 7, a tapered hole 8 and a torsion groove 9 through a spiral coil shaped fastening support tool 3. The fastening support tool 3 has a sectional form substantially similar to a space formed between the torsion grooves 5 and 9. The fastening support tool is attached to one of the torsion grooves 5 and 9 and screwed to the other torsion groove. The shoulder surface 6 is allowed to come into close contact with the front end surface 7 of the shank and an outer peripheral surface of the tapered shaft part 4 is allowed to come into close contact with an inner surface of the tapered hole 8 respectively to fasten the cutting head 1 to the shank 2.
