PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket capable of reducing the number of components, and reducing assembly man-hours, and reducing costs.SOLUTION: A socket 20 on which a straight pipe LED lamp including a holding pin 14 for holding in one end is mounted comprises: a front face 21a; a back face 21d opposite to the front face 21a; a top face 21b connecting the upper part of the front face 21a to the upper part of the back face 21d; a lamp holding part 22 as a groove part formed according to a fact that the front face 21a is recessed to the back face 21d side from the lower position of the top face 21b on the front face 21a upwardly to the top face 21b; a pin insertion hole 23 formed according a fact that the portion of the top face 21b corresponding to the recessed shape of the lamp holding part 22 is opened; and a lamp locking part 24 for holding a holding pin 14 to be inserted from the pin insertion hole 23 into the lamp holding part 22.
