PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for a wide space by controlling a diaphragm opening in synchronization with a position of a focus lens group electrically without using a cam mechanism.SOLUTION: An optical instrument includes: an optical system including a focus lens group; a diaphragm unit that limits a light bundle passing through the optical system; a focus lens driving unit that moves the focus lens group in an optical axis direction; a diaphragm driving unit that controls an opening amount of the diaphragm unit; and a diaphragm control unit that controls the diaphragm driving unit according to a position of the focus lens group moved by the focus lens driving unit and sets the opening amount of the diaphragm unit. |
