PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which is bright and high in reliability.SOLUTION: A light emitting device comprises: a thin film transistor; an insulating film provided on the thin film transistor and having a contact hole; a conductor provided by filling the contact hole; a first metal film provided on the insulating film and electrically connected to the thin film transistor through the conductor; a transparent conductive film provided on the first metal film; an EL layer provided on the transparent conductive film; and a second metal film provided on the EL layer. Light transmitted through the second metal film is radiated.
