摘要 <p>The present invention provides a liquid crystal medium mixture and a liquid crystal display using the liquid crystal medium mixture. The liquid crystal medium mixture comprises components of: a liquid crystal material, a polymerizable monomer and a sensitizer. The liquid crystal material comprises an alkenyl compound stable in a polymerization reaction when the polymerizable monomer is polymerized; and the sensitizer has strong absorptivity on ultraviolet light with a wavelength of 300 to 360 nm. The liquid crystal display comprises: an upper substrate and a lower substrate oppositely and parallelly arranged, and the liquid crystal medium mixture arranged between the upper substrate and the lower substrate. The present invention contains the sensitizer with a relatively strong effect of absorbing the ultraviolet light with the wavelength of 300 to 360 nm, the sensitizer may make the reaction wavelength of the polymerizable monomer move toward a long wavelength, and the ultraviolet light with the wavelength of 300 to 360 nm may be used for irradiation, so that an absorption waveband of the liquid crystal material is avoided, a destructive effect of ultraviolet light on the liquid crystal material and an alignment material polyimide (PI) are reduced, and efficiency and uniformity of the polymerization reaction of the polymerizable monomer are improved.</p>
