PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newsprint paper for offset printing remarkably improving strike-through at offset printing in spite of high blending percentage of DPI, having small deposition of a paper powder in a blanket of a printer, and excellent in printing workability and printed surface quality.SOLUTION: A strike-through of a newsprint paper for offset printing is remarkably improved by containing a filler with percentage content of over 15 wt.% and less than 40 wt.% as ash per weight of the paper. Especially adding as the filler and containing calcium carbonate having the average particle diameter of 0.5 to 5 μm and the zeta potential of 0 mV or more with the percentage content of over 15 wt.% and less than 40 wt.% as ash per weight of the paper, not only the strike-through is improved, but also deposition of a paper powder to a blanket of a printer is reduced. |
