The present invention is a pinhole inspection device for a can body, the device being provided with: a rotating plate having an aperture passing therethrough; a movable plate provided on a fixed frame side to face the rotating plate; a can body holding member for supporting a barrel part of the can body; a light detector for detecting light leaking into the can body; and a light source for applying light to the outer peripheral surface of the can body, and the device being characterized in that the movable plate is provided with a ring plate on the front surface of a piston member having a through-hole in the center thereof with a joint member interposed therebetween, a shielding member produced from an annular member formed concentrically with the through-hole is provided in the ring plate, and the shielding member is brought into sliding contact with the rotating plate by a pressurization mechanism. Consequently, disturbance light can be effectively prevented from reaching the light detector side from a gap between the movable plate and the rotating plate, the gap being caused by external force, the surface states of a sealing ring plate and a sliding ring plate, or the like. |
