PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock mechanism capable of suppressing occurrence of a locking defect with a simple configuration, and a rotary tool including the same.SOLUTION: A lock mechanism 16 includes an annular ring body 51 arranged coaxially with a third carrier 24c and an output axis 6. At the third carrier 24c, a plurality of input side projections 52 inserted into the inside of the ring body 51 are arranged at intervals in a circumferential direction. At the output axis 6, a plurality of output side projections facing the input side projections 52 in the circumferential direction are provided, and wedge surfaces 53a forming wedge space 56 are provided respectively on both sides in the circumferential direction of each output side projection. At each wedge space 56, a columnar lock pin 57 which is movable between a free moving position and a locking position is inserted, and for the lock pin 57, movement in an axial direction is regulated by contacting the third carrier 24c or a thrust plate 58. Also, at axial end parts on both sides of the lock pin 57, projection parts 61 projecting in the axial direction are formed respectively. |
