PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device having an illuminance distribution uniformity of high efficiency for light utilization as illumination light by mainly using regular reflection light and an image sensor using the same.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a lighting device in which a surface part of transparent material is provided with light reflection patterns arranged linearly in equal-spaced apart relation along longitudinal direction from one end of the transparent material to the other end, light is irradiated from inside of the transparent material against the light reflection patterns during a process in which light is transmitted in the transparent material, and a linear light injection part is formed at the part of the transparent material oppositely facing against the light reflection pattern of the transparent material through the transparent material, the light reflection pattern has a recess part of which width in a longitudinal direction is gradually decreased as it is away from the surface part of the transparent material toward its depth direction, a sectional shape of the recess part in its longitudinal direction is formed continuously by a circle or ellipse curve line pattern with a specified radius of curvature from a prescribed position in a longitudinal direction to a far deep part of the transparent material and a linear inclined pattern extending from the surface part of the transparent material. |
