The method involves reversing circulation of a refrigerant fluid in a heat pump (11) to take calories from a coolant liquid. A temperature (T1) of a liquid outlet (18) of the pump is measured. A control unit (23) is configured to isolate a heating unit (22), and another control unit (27) is configured to take the calories from the liquid passing through another heating unit (26) i.e. floor heater, if the temperature at the outlet is lesser than or equal to a preset temperature, where the two control units control a flow of the liquid in the two heating units, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a heating installation.
