PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve display quality and to stabilize operation by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: A display apparatus has a display area in which signal lines and scan lines are arranged in a matrix, wherein a plurality of semiconductor integrated circuits to which a plurality of signal lines are connected are placed in a periphery of the display area. The semiconductor integrated circuit generates a display output signal according to image data and outputs the signal to the display area. The image data and a display timing signal to output the display output signal to the display area are sequentially supplied through adjoining semiconductor integrated circuits to respective semiconductor integrated circuits. The semiconductor integrated circuit is mounted on a tape member. The image data and the display timing signal are supplied to the semiconductor integrated circuit through the tape member.
