The cover (100, 200) has a transparent case (203) projecting beyond an edge portion (201). The case is provided for receiving an image. The case is closable by the protruding edge portion, such that the protruding edge portion on backside of the hard cover is foldable. A double-sided adhesive tape (202) or a pressure-sensitive adhesive paper is provided for adhering the projecting edge portion on the back of the hard cover to close the case. A transparent sheet is mounted on a fold line. The pressure-sensitive adhesive paper is extended beyond the fold line. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a personalized hard cover.
