PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large capacity multilayer ceramic electronic component in which not only the withstand voltage characteristics are enhanced, but also excellent reliability is ensured.SOLUTION: A multilayer ceramic electronic component includes a ceramic body including a dielectric layer, first and second internal electrodes arranged to face each other in the ceramic body with the dielectric layer interposed therebetween, and first and second external electrodes formed on the outside of the ceramic body and connected electrically with the first and second internal electrodes. When dividing the dielectric layer into three regions in the thickness direction of the ceramic body, average grain size in the central region is different from that of the upper and lower regions, and following relations are satisfied; T2≥0.45T1 and T3+T4≤0.55T1, where T1 is the thickness of the dielectric layer, T2 is the thickness of the central region, and T3, T4 are the thicknesses of the upper and lower regions adjacent to the first and second internal electrodes. |
