A computer implemented Information Updating and Retrieval System (JURS) is disclosed. An unregistered service provider is required to pay for a subscription after which he can upload and store information regarding him or his business onto the JURS. A registered service provider uploads segregated information pertaining to different category of users and keeps on updating the information at times depending on the type of subscription that he takes. This information is further segregated into the JURS before getting stored. A user can access this segregated and updated information stored at the JURS by registering himself. The user details and preferences provided to the JURS are used for refinement of search results provided to the user towards his query. Further, the JURS provides the users and the service providers with a multilingual support by which they can access the JURS in a language of their choice.
