PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility of irregularity of bio-tissue and the like in a high oxygen area and intelligibly display a magnitude of oxygen saturation degree in a low oxygen area.SOLUTION: Oxygen saturation degree measurement light and normal light are alternately applied to a test body and a reflection image thereof is captured by a color image pickup device. A normal image is generated from image information obtained when the normal light is emitted. An oxygen saturation degree is calculated on the basis of a part of the image information obtained in the emission of the normal light and a part of image information obtained in the emission of the oxygen saturation degree measurement light. On the basis of the calculated oxygen saturation degree, a high oxygen area and a low oxygen area ate set on the normal image. For the high oxygen area, processing (WB (White Balance) and color emphasis processing) for improving visibility of the irregularity of the bio-tissue and a travel pattern of a blood vessel is performed. For the low oxygen area, processing (gain processing and color emphasis processing) for clarifying color differences according to the degree of the oxygen saturation is performed. |
