The present invention also relates to various compositions and devices (including implantable orthopedic/dental devices) that contain the synthetic peptides of the present invention, and methods involving the use of the synthetic peptides of the present invention. The present invention also relates to a bone replacement or bone-reconstructive material, which includes a polymer matrix and a synthetic peptide of the present invention.
