摘要 <p>A method of controlling a Diesel particulate filter (DPF) 282 of an internal combustion engine 110 during a soot loading phase after an engine shut-off. The method comprises: before engine cranking, determining if an engine shut-off time is larger than a first time threshold, and a DPF inlet temperature is smaller than a first temperature threshold; if so, determining a learning phase start (PELPS) if the engine is operating for more than a second time threshold; performing a learning phase (PEL) consisting of activating two timers and calculating a correction factor of an exhaust gas flow resistance as the average difference, during the learning phase, between a reference flow resistance, which is a function of a calculated soot loading value, and a current flow resistance, and correcting the current flow resistance with the correction factor; and determining a learning phase end (PELPE) if at least one of the two timers is larger than a corresponding time threshold.</p>
