PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder liner (1) for a reciprocating piston combustion engine, in particular, an uniflow scavenging large-scaled two-stroke diesel engine.SOLUTION: A piston is disposed in the cylinder liner (1), the piston is longitudinally movable along a cylinder shaft (A) of the cylinder liner between a top dead center (OT) and a bottom dead center in an operation state and an insertion state, and an upper side of the piston defines a combustion space (3) with an operation surface (2) of the cylinder liner and a cylinder cover disposed on the cylinder liner (1). A cooling system (4) thermally unsymmetrical to a circumferential direction (U) of the cylinder liner (1) and/or the cylinder shaft (A), is disposed in a prescribed region near the top dead center (OT), of a cylinder wall (11) of the cylinder liner (1) to unsymmetrically cool the cylinder liner (1). |
