The present invention relates to an imaging surveillance system which is capable of controlling and monitoring a plurality of imaging devices through a mobile communication terminal and an operating method thereof which perform control and monitoring function for a plurality of imaging devices and provide the convenience in registering imaging devices to be controlled and monitored and are capable of controlling and monitoring at any time and any place by including: a mobile communication terminal for generating and transmitting a device registration request signal having registration information, transmitting a device status confirmation request signal having device identification information, receiving the device status and image information and outputting the device status and image information with sound and screen; a WMS server for receiving the device registration request signal from the mobile communication terminal, confirming and updating the registration information; a plurality of imaging devices for generating and transmitting an IP registration request signal, and obtaining and transmitting the device status and image information; a UMS server for confirming and updating a MAC address and an IP address while updating name server data by receiving the IP registration request signal from the imaging devices, and receiving the device status and image information from the imaging devices, searching the registration information and updating the registration information; a database for storing the registration information according to the update of the WMS server, storing the MAC address or the IP address, the device status and image information according to the update of the UMS server and providing the device status and image information according to a device status confirmation request signal of the mobile communication terminal; and a DNS for storing and managing the name server data according to the update of the UMS server.
