PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning device for preventing the contamination of an image forming apparatus by removing toner isolated and left on a recording medium after fixation and to provide a cleaning brush.SOLUTION: The cleaning device includes a cleaning member coming into contact with the surface of a surface-moving object to be cleaned, while being rotated, to remove the fine powder particles of the surface of the object to be cleaned, a support member arranged to face the cleaning member, in a contact state with the rear surface of the object to be cleaned, a cleaning-up member coming into contact with the cleaning member and removing the fine powder particles recovered to the cleaning member from the cleaning member, and a discharge member discharging the fine powder particles separated from the cleaning member by the cleaning-up member. The cleaning member is formed from pile fabric comprising a base fabric and a plurality of pile threads napped on the base fabric and when the diameter of the fine powder particle is defined as D1 and the fiber diameter of the pile thread is defined as D2, D2/D1≤2 is obtained. |
