The furnace (1) has a furnace door (15) pivoting between an open position and a close position around a pivot axis (17). A holding rail-arrangement (33) includes holding rails with a plate-like base element, where the holding rails are movably arranged at baking chamber-side walls and baking chamber-inner walls (30, 31). The rails are displaced between a furnace door-release-position and a furnace door-lock-position by a relative movement relative to the walls. The holding rails position the furnace door in an open-position in the furnace door-lock-position.
