A wavelength monitoring system (10) is provided with: an optical divider (11) for extracting part of a downstream optical signal and part of an upstream optical signal from a wavelength multiplexing network (20) which transmits the downstream optical signal and the upstream optical signal by a wavelength division multiplexing method between a plurality of optical line terminals (31-34) and a plurality of optical network units (41-48); a first optical spectrum analysis device (12) for analyzing the wavelength of the extracted downstream optical signal; and a second optical spectrum analysis device (13) for analyzing the wavelength of the extracted upstream optical signal.
