SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES

The present invention relates to a system for controlling the charge of an electric vehicle comprising a connection confirmation unit; a supply power calculation unit; and a supply control unit. The connection confirmation unit confirms a connection state of the electric vehicle through a charging system and confirms a charging state. The supply power calculation unit calculates power supplied in the charging system and compares the supplied power with predetermined power. The supply control unit starts or stops the power supply of the charging system for the vehicle according to a comparison result of the supply power calculation unit. The supply control unit controls the charging system to be a sleep mode and restarts the charging system in a predetermined period or a time point. The supply power calculation unit calculates power supplied in the charging system and determines whether or not the supplied power corresponds to a predetermined power supply termination condition.
