PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle generation device capable of improving the convenience of a user.SOLUTION: A charged particle generation device 2 comprises: a connector 209; a battery 207; a drive part 210 and a high voltage generator 206 generating a high voltage from a voltage supplied from a main body part 1 via the connector 209 when mounted on the main body part 1, and generating a high voltage from a voltage of the battery 207 when not mounted on the main body part 1; a charged particle generator 215; a detector 261 detecting attachment from/detachment to the main body part 1, and outputting a signal; and a control circuit 260 controlling the drive part 210. When mounted on the main body part 1, the control circuit 260 controls the drive part 210 so as to generate a high voltage V1. When not mounted on the main body part 1, the control circuit 260 controls the drive part 210 so as to generate a high voltage V2 different from the high voltage V1. |
