PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer and a correction method of a printing reference position when a label is missing, capable of properly conveying a label to the printing reference position, when label missing occurs, without complicating a structure of the label printer.SOLUTION: A label printer 10 includes: a thermal head 14 for performing printing on a label 1a of a label continuous body 1 being conveyed; a detection part 20 for detecting the label 1a of the label continuous body 1 being conveyed; a label missing determination part 31 for determining whether a label is missing on the basis of a detection result by the detection part 20; a label missing printing control part 32 for, when the label missing determination part 31 determines that a label is missing, setting a reference position control amount equivalent to a feed amount on control when the label 1a is conveyed to a printing reference position to be the reference when the thermal head 14 performs printing on the label 1a, for a reference position control amount when a label is missing; and a correction part 33 for correcting the reference position control amount when a label is missing, set by the label missing printing control part 32. |
