PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal head which can reduce possibility of generation of wrinkles on a recording medium.SOLUTION: A thermal head X1 includes: a substrate 7; a plurality of heat generating parts 9 which are arranged on the substrate 7 and are arrayed along one long side 7a of the substrate 7; a plurality of electrodes which are arranged on the substrate 7 and are electrically connected to the plurality of heat generating parts 9; and a dummy electrode 2 which is arranged on the substrate 7 and is electrically insulated from the plurality of electrodes. The dummy electrode 2 is arranged between the plurality of heat generating parts 9 and the one long side 7a of the substrate 7, and is arranged along the one long side 7a of the substrate 7. A width Wc of the dummy electrode 2 located on a center part in an arrayed direction of the heat generating parts 9 is longer than a width We of the dummy electrode 2 located on an end part in the arrayed direction of the heat generating parts 9. |
