The power supply has a current limiting protection circuit (60), which alarms a user by means of a time delayed alarm circuit (40) when the power is in a high load or full load state. By means of a delay time the user is able to adjust the power limiting value in correspondence to the power requirement of the loads. The goal is to achieve the best power selection and at the same time the best protection for the power supply.
