PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear guide device having excellent assembling workability for a ball groove member and in addition, capable of removing errors in component shapes and assembling precision for the ball groove member in order to simplify management thereof.SOLUTION: In a linear guide device, a slider main body 9 and a ball groove member 10 of a slider 2 are separately formed, and a required mechanical strength is applied thereto by forming the slider main body 9 with either general structural rolled steel or machine structural carbon steel, and forming the ball groove member 10 with carbon tool steel into a shape covering a guide rail 1. Further, a housing part 14 is formed in the slider main body 9 so as to cover around the guide rail 1, such that when the ball groove member 10 is housed in the housing part 14, the ball groove member 10 is fixed therein by elastic force of the ball groove member itself and supported at three points, a slider center stem part 13 and left and right lower side ball groove parts 11. Thereafter, in a state of the ball groove member 10 being fitted in the housing part 14 of the slider main body 9, lower-side slider ball grooves 5 and upper-side slider ball grooves 6 are ground. |
