The present invention relates to a laser welding method and a laser welding member using the same, which is capable of preventing defects such as air pores or pits forming on a welded portion, and enhancing the machinability of the welded portion. The laser welding method, which welds a portion to be welded by irradiating the portion with a laser, supplies a shielding gas to the laser irradiated portion and the back surface of the laser irradiated portion when the portion is irradiated with the laser.
