1,152,954. Electrolytic galvanizing, chromating and electro-phoretic coating. A. SCHWEDHELM and W. SCHLÍSSER. July 18, 1966 [July 20, 1965], No.32126/66. Headings C7B and C7U. Steel or Fe surfaces are electrolytically galvanized with Zn and subsequently electrophoretically coated from a synthetic resin dispersion, each stage being carried out in an aqueous medium. The surfaces may be degreased using an alkaline or acid cleansing agent or an electrolytic degreaser, electrolytically galvanized using an alkaline, alkaline cyanide or acid Zn bath, dipped in a chromating bath, electro-phoretically coated with artificial resin, dried and baked at between 140 and 200‹ C. The Zn bath may contain Zn(CN) 2 , NaCN, NaOH and Na 2 S. Pure Zn anodes may be used. The chromating bath may contain Na 2 Cr 2 O 7 , Na 2 F and HNO 3 . The electro-phoretic bath may contain TiO 2 , alkyd-melamine-resin, ethylene glycol and H 2 O. This bath may be circulated by a turbo-stirrer.
|
