The present invention relates to a method for setting the coordinates of a room in a ship. The method comprises the steps of: arranging a room according to the horizontal coordinates thereof; arranging one side of the lower end of the room on a deck; vertically extending a virtual line downwards from one side of the other end of the room and grasping an intersection point between the virtual line and the deck; calculating the length of the virtual line extending from the one side of the other end of the room to the deck; searching the thickness of the deck at the intersection point; and adding the thickness of the deck to the length of the virtual line and setting the bottom coordinates of the room. The method for setting the coordinates of a room in a ship according to the present invention can calculate the vertical coordinates of the room without an error when arranging the room on an inclined deck to prevent various doors provided for the room from being misaligned with the holes of a hull while horizontally arranging the room on the deck, thereby improving the efficiency of the design work.
