PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an anti-A&bgr; globulomer antibodies, antigen-binding moieties thereof, hybridomas producing the antibodies, nucleic acids encoding the antibodies, vectors comprising the nucleic acids, host cells comprising the vectors, methods of producing the antibodies, compositions comprising the antibodies, and therapeutic and diagnostic uses of the antibodies and corresponding methods relating to Alzheimer's disease and other amyloidoses.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to anti-A&bgr; globulomer antibodies having a binding affinity to A&bgr; (20-42) globulomer that is greater than the binding affinity of the antibody to A&bgr;(1-42) globulomer.
