PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckle for a product that requires a comparatively strong fastening force.SOLUTION: In the buckle 10, a band can freely approach the buckle but cannot retreat in a locked state where an engagement pawl 21 of the buckle is engaged with a serrated engagement groove formed on the outer surface of the band. The buckle includes: a buckle body 14 comprising a bottom plate 11 and a ceiling frame 12 facing each other, and both side plates 13 that connect between the bottom plate 11 and ceiling frame 12, with the interior of the buckle body 14 serving as an insertion space for the band; and an operation plate horizontally installed inside the ceiling frame and having, at the lower face of one end, the engagement pawl that can be engaged with the engagement groove of the band, while forming the other end as a pressing part 22 for releasing the engagement. The operation plate is supported by a connecting shaft for connecting both side plates at an intermediate point between the engagement pawl and the pressing part, which makes the operation plate swingable around the intermediate point serving as a fulcrum. While a sliding piece 40 horizontally movable on the upper part of the operation plate 20 is moved to one end side of the operation plate, swinging of the operation plate is regulated. |
