PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which can inform elasticity of a biological tissue.SOLUTION: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus is provided with: an elastic image data creation part which creates elastic image data having color information corresponding to distortion calculated by a physical quantity data creation part; and a display part for displaying an elastic image having a color corresponding to the distortion on an ultrasonic image of a biological tissue on the basis of the elastic image data. The elastic image data creation part creates the elastic image data on the basis of a color conversion table TA which is correspondence information between the distortion and the color information and where the color information changes according to the distortion within a preset prescribed distortion range X. The display part displays an elasticity index image representing an elasticity index In that shows a relative relation between a distortion average value Stav in an area set to the ultrasonic image and the prescribed distortion range X.
