Provided is an irreversible mechanism which comprises: an input shaft which receives the input of rotational drive force; an output shaft which receives the transmission of torque from the input shaft; a ball ramp section which generates radial force when load torque acts on the output shaft; a brake lining which receives the radial force from the ball ramp section; a brake drum against which, when the brake lining receives the radial force from the ball ramp section, the brake lining is pressed so as to be in close contact therewith; and a housing which houses therein the input shaft, the output shaft, the ball ramp section, the brake lining, and the brake drum. |
