PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press work method and a device capable of attaching-detaching a backup material without stopping feeding of a metallic plate material.SOLUTION: A metallic plate material 1 having at least one folding-back part 1a to 1c is passed while mutually circulating rotary metal molds 2 in the inverse direction by using a pair of rotary metal molds 2 forming a crawler by arranging a plurality of metal mold segments (s) in a belt shape. Backup materials 6a to 6b of an endless type of circularly moving around the rotary metal molds 2, are arranged in at least one of the rotary metal molds 2, and while inserting the backup materials 6a to 6b into a clearance of the folding-back parts 1a to 1c of the metallic plate material 1 by changing a movement route of the backup materials 6a to 6b on the inlet side of the rotary metal molds 2, the backup materials 6a to 6b inserted into the clearance of the folding-back parts 1a to 1c of the metallic plate material 1 are taken out by changing the movement route of the backup materials 6a to 6b again on the outlet side of the outer rotary metal mold 2. |
