PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystalline compound having high stability to light, a high clearing point, a low minimum temperature of a liquid crystal phase, low viscosity, a suitable optical anisotropy, a large dielectric anisotropy, a suitable elastic modulus and excellent compatibility with other liquid crystalline compounds.SOLUTION: Disclosed are a compound expressed by formula (1), a liquid crystal composition containing the compound, and a liquid crystal display element including the composition.
