<p>The barrier comprises two components connected together using a connector. The connector may be between a post 120 and rail 130. The post and rail are connected by a connector 210. The connector is fixed by a fixing member 230 which includes a rigid part and other part 216 which has a lower resistance to deformation compared to the fixing member. Upon impact the part 216 is deformable allowing the connector to move relative to the rail 130. The barrier may also include a connection between the connector and rail involving a fixing member 300 which includes an inner core 330 and outer sheath 360. The inner core has a relatively, compared to the sheath, soft part with a lower resistance to deformation compared to the sheath. The core allows absorption of impact.</p> |
