The method involves supplying printed sheets to a conveying device (4) of a stack support (3), and perpendicularly arranging the sheets on the support to form a stack (5). The stack is supported at a side by a supporting device (7), and the stack is transferred to a pressing device with two press carriages (15, 16). The stack is pressed between the carriages to form a pressed stack (5'), and the stack (5') is strapped. One of the carriages is moved to another stack formed on the support after the strapping of the stack (5'), and the latter stack is supported at the side by the device (7). An independent claim is also included for a device for manufacturing a stack of printed sheet. |
