<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet paper holder in which the operation of sending out toilet paper from a toilet paper roll can be carried out easily and readily, and only the desired length of paper can be drawn out for use. <P>SOLUTION: A toilet paper holder 1 presses down a roll pressing plate 4 pivotally mounted at the lower part of the rear end side of a holding plate 2, against the resilience of a double torsion spring 5, into the direction detaching from the lower part outer peripheral face of a toilet paper roll A. The toilet paper roll A is rotated into the direction in which a toilet paper Aa is sent out from the lower side of the toilet paper roll A, and the sending out side end part of the toilet paper Aa is sent forward from a paper cutting blade 4d of the roll pressing plate 4.
