<p>The present invention relates to a power relay assembly for an electric vehicle and to a method for operating an energy system for an electric vehicle provided with the power relay assembly. More particularly, the power relay assembly according to the present invention comprises: a first power relay connected in series to the positive (+) end of a battery pack for an electric vehicle; a second power relay connected in series to an end of the battery pack; and a resistive element connected in parallel to the first power relay so as to form a parallel path.
