The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display and a manufacturing method of the same which comprises: an insulating substrate; a micro-space layer which is formed on the insulting substrate and contains an inversely tapered side wall; a pixel electrode formed within the micro-space layer on the insulating substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed within the micro-space layer; and a common electrode covering the liquid crystal layer.
