摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress lengthening of an arc period caused by the spouting of a gas from a molten pool in a carbon dioxide gas arc welding.SOLUTION: There is provided an output control method for controlling output of a welding power source by feed-back control of a welding voltage Vw, where the welding power source is used in such an arc welding that a short circuit period and an arc period are repeated between a welding wire and a mother metal. In the method, when the occurrence of phenomena (at time t41, t42 and t43) in which the changing rate of the welding voltage Vw exceeds a predetermined reference value, are repeated the predetermined number of times of two or more during arc period at time t3-t5, a welding electric current Iw is lowered to that of the starting time period (at time t5) of the next short circuit period. As a result, the welding electric current Iw is lowered instantly when the spouting of a gas is discriminated, so that the lengthening of the arc time period can be suppressed, and consequently a sputter generation is prevented from increasing.
