The device has light beams (L) coupled into an imaging element (10) over an entrance surface (11) and reflected on detour surfaces (12, 13). The light beams are decoupled from a spherical curved exit surface (14), so that a user realizes the formed image. Imaging optics (16) comprises a lens (15) with a negative refracting power downstream the exit surface of the imaging element and an optical dispersion. The imaging element includes positively refracting power and another optical dispersion that are larger than the former optical dispersion.
