PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of a detection error of a belt position caused by stains on a light-receiving unit of belt position detection means.SOLUTION: Belt position detection means rotates an arm member in association with movement in a roller axial direction of an intermediate transfer belt, while pressing a contact pin fixed to the arm member against an end in a width direction of the intermediate transfer belt, so as to change the transmission amount of light emitted from a light-emitting unit not illustrated with respect to an opening 24i provided to the arm member, and thereby to change the amount of light received by a light-receiving unit not illustrated. The belt position detection means has a cleaning member 24g provided to the arm member that comes into rubbing contact with the light-receiving unit to clean the light-receiving unit. |
