An airbag module with an airbag and with an inflation device for the airbag which is folded prior to being triggered, the airbag having a ventilation region which is sealed with a cover (11) prior to being inflated, and being provided with an arrestor (24) which is detachably mounted at one end thereof inside the airbag on the airbag module or on a part fixed on the vehicle, and which is fastened to the cover (11) at the other end of the arrestor, characterised in that the cover (11) for the ventilation region is arranged on the outside of the airbag and consists of two interlocking, three-dimensional bodies (12, 17) which together cover the ventilation region in a mutual overlap. |
